Grades 2-4 To State Fair

Grades 2,3, and 4 attended "the largest classroom in the State" which was located at the State Fair in Grand Island, on August 30th. The day was filled with agricultural and Science activities. Free entertainment included Movie Stunt Adventures, pig racing, geese and a ferret, named Bo Jangels! Students watched teachers sheer a sheep and visited the birthing barn which contained cows, pigs, and chicks. Snacks included ice cream made from milk provided by the Nebraska Dairy Council. A full day of "hands on learning" was experienced by the 32 students!
