BRUNING-DAVENPORT MIDDLE SCHOOL BULLETIN, JANAURY 27, 2012

ANNOUNCEMENT

1) 3rd Grade will be having Spanish @ 1:30 on Friday of this week.

2) 8th Graders: You may pick up your finished pottery in the art room. They look great! Bright and vibrant colors!! Nice work. I will provide newspaper for you to wrap them in. Mrs. Friesen

3) Grades K-6 Free-throw Jam during the Jan. 31st girls and boys varsity halftime games. Students need to register prior to the girls' varsity halftime. All students will receive a prize. This is a free event sponsored by B-D Parent Involvement. Parents must accompany students at the basketball games.

4) The 8th grade State Writing Assessment will take place Thursday, Feb. 2nd during 4th & 5th periods. They will need to be dismissed from 3rd period at 9:45 for a drink/bathroom break. Students please bring something to read when you are finished with the assessment. You will NOT be permitted to leave the computer lab during the test.

5) 5th-8th Grade Band Parents-Please mark Saturday, February 18th on your calendars for the middle school band contest.  All band students will be performing that day.  You will be receiving a letter soon containing the work schedule for the day.  If, for some reason you are unable to work the shift assigned to you, please find your own replacement or trade with someone.  There may be conflicts with shifts and the playing times of your children.  Please feel free to switch with another parent if this is the case.  We don't expect you to miss your child perform.  Thanks for your help in making this event a success!

6) TaraLee, Morgan, McKenna will eat at 12:00 and leave at 12:25 for game.

Jan 28 - Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest @ Shickley for ages 9-14. Registration 1:00 contact Russ Kleinschmidt with questions. (Posters say ages 10-14, but that is wrong). Varsity BB players are not eligible.
